Looks like my post didn’t go live on Friday like I planned, so here is your weekend challenge on a Monday. Try to make some time this week to work on it.
In yesterday’s post, we mentioned the 5 Why’s. The 5 Why’s is a technique to work through items with emotional attachments. It works by stepping you through the emotional so you can arrive at the logical.
You know that phase kids go through, where they keep asking “why”, even after you answer their question. You eventually run out of answers, and that’s the point we are going for in this exercise. Once you run out of answers, you can more easily make the keep/toss decision. Follow this link to learn how to use the 5 Why’s and then come back here for your weekend challenge.

Find an item in your home that you are unsure about decluttering, and then work through the 5 Why’s.
Share your results in the comments section below to celebrate your successes and to help inspire others. If your 5 Why’s results in you keeping an item, we’d love to hear about that also.
