Recently, Michelle of Fit is the New Poor shared her story of breaking a lease. She got that all sorted and made her move across country. Her travels proved to be much faster than the travels of the movers and the bulk or her stuff. Michelle and her family lived with just the essentials for about a week until the movers completed their cross country journey.
Michelle surprised us with the realization that extreme minimalism sucks! Experiencing the discomfort of not having a couch to sit on, a table to eat at, and pots and pans to cook with brought her to an even more important realization and a major life lesson: Be appreciative for what you have.
After the movers arrived with her stuff, she felt more appreciation for that stuff she had. I think it’s a good experience to live with less than you are comfortable to test your limits. Here is a link to her article where you can read the whole story. What a Week of Extreme Minimalism Taught Me.
