In a Dear Heather letter in The Royal Gazette, a reader asks how to get started with decluttering his/her home. I think Heather’s tips to get started are a little vague. I recommend starting in the closet, as it allows you to focus on items that are wholly yours (as opposed to shared family items that can occupy the rest of the house.) It’s also a small area and allow for quick success which can keep you motivated to continue.
Heather does, however, provide an excellent list of things that can be decluttered immediately with little or no thought. These are great to rack up some additional quick successes.
Can you think of any other items that should be on that list? Share in the comments section below.
