It can be a challenge to keep your home tidy. It can also be a challenge to get your children to help out with the cleaning and chores. Which is more challenging? Let’s call it a draw and look for ways to make it easier.

His technique is The Hour of Clean. I feel like there should be a cool echo sound after that. The Hour of CLEAN… Clean… clean.
The technique is simple. Once a week call the family together for an hour of cleaning. Give each person a list of things that need to be done and start the timer. With everyone working together, you’ll have your entire home spotless in no time.
From my own experience, I can say that setting a timer is a great motivator, and setting an end time of 60 minutes helps the little ones know that they won’t be spending all day cleaning. Doing it as a family helps you lead by example, and help the younger ones if they have trouble with their chores.
