When conversations of downsizing arise, those opposed sometimes bring up the size of their family as a reason why downsizing is impossible. Today’s story is that of a family in Denmark – Two adults and four kids. They live in a 1000 sq.ft. (93 sq. meter) townhouse in the city.
They have a multi purpose living area, a kitchen, 3 bedrooms, 1.5 bath, and a small entrance area. They chose this home so they could live in the city and also to keep the total costs low.

I have mixed feelings about this one. The minimalist in me sees a lot of stuff in this tiny space, and I wonder if some decluttering might make the small space feel more open. On the other hand, I have much respect for a family that chooses to live in a small space so they can live a bigger life. They are in the city, close to schools, close to activities, and mom is able to be a stay-at-home mom.
